Attention MLMr’s: Let’s Put ”Phenomenal!” To Bed
September 13, 2007 |
What is the most overused word by MLM entrepreneurs?
It is: PHENOMENAL!
I am so tired of hearing this word, especially from the mouths of network marketers who are describing their business opportunity.
Phenomenal means:
Of, pertaining to, or constituting a phenomenon.
Phenomenon means: An unusual, significant or unaccountable fact or occurrence; a marvel.
We want to be taken seriously, and yet we refer to our business as pertaining to “unusual or unaccountable facts or occurrences?” Now I not only find it annoying, it also makes no sense.
I hear this from men more than women. Wonder why?
Here’s todays MLM Tip for recruiting more women: Avoid using the word phenomenal. Oh, and never refer to us as girls. Or call us dear, unless we call you dear first;-)
Maybe I’m alone in this? What do you think of the word phenomenal? Did I spell it right? My spell checker gave me a couple ways and made me pick, lol!
Do you have any least-favorite word that invariably pops-up when network marketing is being discussed? Do tell!
