MLM, the Economy and YOU - Are You Dabbling or Doing?

I spent the morning playing and shopping with my 3 year-old son. This isn’t because I’m doing so well in my MLM business, but because my husband works his tail off and makes decent income so I can be a stay at home mom.

Times are changing though, and if you’re reading this, you might be a bit like me. Ready to get serious about your mlm home business because employees heads are on the chopping blocks. There used to be a sense of security that came with a job but those days are over.

Not to be a fear monger, because I’m not afraid. I know that I and my family will be fine because I have gotten started building my home business with a serious and inspired team. The message I do want to convey today is, if you’ve been dabbling in your mlm, it’s time to really give it your all.

Working for yourself from home, as a rep for a solid network marketing company is like having an insurance policy against the economic instability we’re all living with right now. But that’s only if you are doing the work.

I know there is a lot of misinformation about mlm - much comes from the companies themselves who have their own interests to look out for, so they tell you it’s easy, anyone can do it….they say that because their plan is for you to accost your friends and family to “show the plan” as many times as possible…

Yes, technically anyone can do that, and it does work if you can stand the backlash. But most people can’t. Most get shot down so hard by said friends and family (who are all broke or nearly broke, usually…) that they quit their business, thinking they got scammed.

Then there are the people like you and me, who know it works. We see the potential, but we’re just regular people. No fancy sales training or super ninja marketing skills to brag about. How do we make a go of MLM, without following the company line of “make a list” and call everyone you know?

So what I’m all about these days is coming up with ways to attract more people who are looking for a home business, using the Internet. There are thousands of people like us out there, who want what mlm has to offer, but for our own reasons, do not want to approach friends and family.

How do we find each other?

Glad you asked. I suggest a few things. Starting with, build your list! Now I know you already know that the fortune is in the list. And I know that you most likely have no idea how to go about building a list. No problem. In one week I’ll be posting on how you can have an instant list to begin mailing to, for fr*ee.
