Must MLM Business Success be Preceeded by Hardship?
December 11, 2007 |
I got this quote in my email today, and just had to post about this. First, here is the quote:
There Is No Success Without Hardship
All things are difficult before they are easy.
Success is not measured by what you accomplish.
It’s gauged by the opposition you encounter,
and the courage with which you struggle against overwhelming odds.
The harder the conflict, the more glorious your victory.
No pain, no gain;
No guts, no glory;
No cross, no crown.
If you wish to enjoy life’s pleasures,
you must also endure it’s pains.
Make up your mind before you start to attain your goal
that sacrifice is part of the package.
The highway to success is a toll road.
end quote. (There was no attribution)
One thing I know for sure is that I don’t feel good after reading that! Abraham, my preferred Law of Attraction teacher states that nothing that we want is upstream…meaning in order to allow the things that we have already created with our asking, (read Ask and it is Given by Esther & Jerry Hicks) we need to be in a place of feeling good…
With the release of The Secret, ought we now question this sort of hardship thinking? There are some people who think The Secret is bunk, that business is a numbers game pure and simple, and if you don’t do the numbers, you will fail. The 80/20 rule, The Pareto Principal, the Law of Large Numbers, whatever you want to call it…
But since we live in a Universe based on attraction, I don’t see how struggle, pain, effort and sacrifice can yield positive results? Yet some do seem to succeed using this approach…
I think the key is to look at the whole person. For instance someone may have achieved financial abundance but suffer from bad health.
So here is the point of this post. Do you ever use visualization, affirmations, or anything like that (meditation, Tai Chi, power naps…) to align or balance your energy that made your work, your play or your business building seem effortless? Something that wasn’t action-based, but lead you to taking (inspired) actions that moved your life and/or business forward in powerful, positive ways?
Is it OK to sacrifice one area of your life to achieve success in another?
Hmmm…I would love to read your thoughts!
