My Continuing ITV Ventures Adventure: ITV Customer Service & Natural Cures

ITV Ventures is aligned with Kevin Trudeau, and his Natural Cures books and website. From what I gather from my sponsor, we (ITV) bought Kevin’s company and customer base. But don’t quote me on that as I could be mistaken.

At any rate, we (ITV Home Agents) can take calls from Kevin’s infomercial if we so choose. I recently spoke with a prospect who is concern over some issues that are coming up for people around the Natural Cures books and website subscription.

They have been unable to reach ITV via their customer service line. If they do get through, some say they are being told the cannot cancel their subscription to the Natural Cures website, (not true - it is easy to cancel) and some say they are receiving unwanted products.

These are not things that a new prospect wants to hear when investigating a home business opportunity. Actually, they are not things I want to hear, either, lol! I understand & share her concern.

I didn’t encounter anything like this when I was evaluating the ITV home business. I was interested in the stabilized rice bran products, Rice n Shine and Flex Protex, and didn’t even watch the book infomercials. Still I would not have been put off by this for a couple of reasons.

First of all, Kevin Trudeau is highly controversial, and in a way that I personally respect. He is speaking about healing and healing isn’t profitable to anyone.

History shows that people who speak out against the establishment are vilified relentlessly. It’s how things work. There was a time when a doctor, Dr. Ignas, Semmelweis, was ostracized and eventually driven out of his practice for suggesting hand-washing before seeing patients. It was once common practice for doctors to go directly from the morgue, to the delivery room, and women, new mothers, were dying terrible, painful deaths in droves.

Hand-washing was thought to be so absurd (even though women stopped dying when the practice was implemented) that the AMA threatened to remove the license of any doctor caught washing his hands before seeing a patient.

So much of what is common practice today was considered heretical less than 100 years ago. And so much that we deem appropriate today, will be considered barbaric in another 100 years - probaby sooner. I for one appreciate Kevin’s work and the fact that he continues in the face of the FTC scrutiny, lawsuits and attempts to silence him.

Secondly, there does seem to be a problem with the customer service line at ITV Ventures. I called it myself three times this week, waited over 10 minutes each call, and never got through. I don’t know what is happening with this. Maybe the company is growing faster than the current staff can keep up with?

I realize that doesn’t help the person trying to get through, but it’s not uncommon when a business is growing quickly.

As more people become distributors for ITV, this will smooth out because we are able to give our personal customers our own contact information, so they can call us personally when they need something, as an option to calling ITV directly.

Any customer that I aquire while working as an ITV Home Agent will be able to contact me personally for any assistance that they need. If they want to cancel a future shipment, they can call my toll-free number and I will take care of it for them. I invision having at least one assistant in the future, helping me stay in touch with my hundreds of customers…

I wish that this was not happening to those who are experiencing it. It personally would not have stopped me from joining ITV had I known about it at that time. I simply see it as growing pains, and probably lack of clear communication.

I know that the training I have recieved so far has been all about making sure that the callers understand exactly what they are going to receive, how often, and if the order does repeat in the future and they prefer not to reorder, how to cancel.

There are very strict rules regarding all of this, (telephone sales) and I have heard that if ITV Ventures learns of a distributor who is not doing as they are supposed to, they are invited to ”no longer participate” in the Home Agent Program.
