Why I joined Arbonne International by Jeanette Wayand-Reif
March 15, 2008 |
After being in the workforce for more than 15 years, I learned I was pregnant with my third child and knew that the best option for my family would be to leave my 9 to 5 job and stay at home with my children. Upon making that decision, I was approached by a family friend with the Arbonne Opportunity.
I truly enjoyed the Arbonne products, but I was immediately dismissive about signing up for something, skeptical about even reading the information, and had all those familiar misgivings when someone says the words ‘network marketing’.
The truth is, I really didn’t know what network marketing was, and therefore was leery of it. Talk about the fear of the unknown! I quickly put it out of my head because quite honestly, at that point in my life I wanted to be home with my newborn baby and nest!
I did just that for several months; I nested. I stayed in my sweatpants all day, did the new baby thing, nurtured my toddler with projects and lots of attention, got my oldest off to school and home from school, and made sure I was paying attention to every aspect of my children’s lives. After all, this is what my full-time job was now; being available to them, being the stay-at-home mom.
I felt very lucky to be doing this, I truly did, but after several months I was itching to get involved in something else. How did people do this? I thought I knew what I was getting into by being home with my kids. At first the daily grind of changing diapers, wiping faces, microwaving chicken nuggets, missing showers, and having some sort of stain on every article of clothing I owned, didn’t get to me. But when the motions didn’t change day to day, or I’d look at the living room and the toys were scattered over the floor, again, I knew it was time to take some action.
Don’t get me wrong, I was not missing being out of my home and reporting to a boss, or wrestling with traffic to get to work by 9am, but missing the part of myself that felt successful in a professional way, and let’s face it, missing a paycheck!
I started to think ‘What if there was something out there that I could do from home, could maybe get me out of the house once in a while, and supply a bit of income?’ That’s when I was reminded of Arbonne and decided to look into the business.
I got on my sponsor’s web site and clicked around, listened to the opportunity, read the information that was available, and checked out some of the product lines. I was already using the Arbonne baby products since my children were allergic to every type of baby lotion and wash on the market, and broke out anywhere I put regular children’s sunscreen. The Arbonne baby products saved my children’s skin! So why not see what the deal was with making money from this business that already had MY business!
I immediately got excited about the opportunity, and the consultant fee was so nominal, I signed up then and there and was eager to grill my sponsor about every nut and bolt, nook and cranny, and nitty gritty detail.
How do I work the business, what are the benefits, and… what’s the catch? I learned that the great thing about Arbonne is there really is no catch! It is not a “get rich quick” scheme, it is not something where you work your butt off and only the up-line is the beneficiary. Everyone who joins starts at the same place, Arbonne rewards you for hard work, your pay increases with the amount of activity you generate, and as you network and add people to your team, you are creating something that can truly last a lifetime.
The products are consumable and used by a large market, and the company is constantly reinventing itself, offering bonuses, retreats, trainings, and sparking energy all across the globe. This is the best of network marketing.
The goal is to try the product, love the product, sell the product, be naturally enthused about the results of the product, recruit people to join your team, and teach them to do what you do. It’s that simple.
I was ecstatic when I achieved District Manager status with the company in just 4 months, and was even more ecstatic about sharing my enthusiasm with other people. I knew that I had made the right decision. I regained a sense of self with joining this company and soon realized I was joining a family of people who shared my same goals in life.
I restored the professional side of my life that I had lost, and in turn felt better about myself as a whole. Its strange how giving back to myself and allowing time for myself actually made me a better, more attentive person!
I find that I am continuously being renewed as well. I am constantly encouraged by newly released products, the involvement with my team, the fantastic bonuses and the interaction with other men and women who have similar goals and dreams. It allows me to still stay at home with my kids (I still wipe faces and change diapers) but I am also nurturing the side of me who wants to be a successful businesswoman.
I hope you will consider joining my team and enjoying these same benefits! Go to www.bestfootforward.myarbonne.com to listen to the opportunity and sign on!
